The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Derek Sandoval, Vice President of Administrative Services at SWTJC, and featured a warm welcome from Ms. April Newman Ruman, Dean of Applied Science and Liberal Arts. Ms. April expressed her appreciation for the students' artistic contributions and acknowledged the essential role of parents, mentors, and friends in guiding the young artists.

Students' artwork was prominently displayed at the event, showcasing a variety of creative approaches and mediums. Ms. April thanked everyone for sharing their unique creations and emphasized the importance of celebrating the artist within each child. She also expressed gratitude to the judges for their expertise and insights.

During the ceremony, all participants were invited to stand and applaud their achievements. The Dean led the group in a celebratory high-five, encouraging the students to reach up with both hands and acknowledge their accomplishments.

After the event, attendees enjoyed cookies and drinks, fostering a sense of community and celebration. Group photos were taken to commemorate the occasion, and the names of the winners will be posted on the SWTJC website.

The Sterling Fly website features a picture showcasing all the honorable mentions from the event, further highlighting the students' achievements and contributions to the arts. This event was a successful celebration of young talent and creativity in the Crystal City ISD.
