Sterling Fly Junior High is showing its appreciation for its dedicated teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week with a series of special events. Starting with breakfast tacos on May 6 and lunch of chili dogs and snacks on May 7 for National Teacher Day, the school has also provided a sweet treat of cookies, brownies, and cupcakes for May 8. These gestures reflect the community's gratitude for the hard work and commitment of the school's educators in shaping students' futures.

Southwest Texas Junior College (SWTJC) recently celebrated the annual Creative Arts Contest Awards, honoring the artistic talents of students from the Crystal City Independent School District. The event took place on April 23, 2024, and was a vibrant display of the students' creativity and skill.

Fly Junior High's tennis team receives a generous donation of tennis rackets from Principal Mrs. Flanagan and Coach Rosa Martinez, igniting hope and excitement among the students. However, with the team still in need of additional rackets, the community is urged to continue their support in providing every student with the tools they need to succeed on and off the court.
